Attending the one-week mathematics program at IIT Dharwad was a great experience for me!!
The teachers there were very down-to-earth and approachable. We were taught by professors from reputed institutes, including a professor from IIT Bombay, which was a great opportunity for me. It changed the way I view mathematics, making me realize that it is not about memorizing formulas but about deep thinking and logical reasoning. I learned that even small statements in mathematics have strong meaning and require proper proof. The classes were different from regular classroom teaching, especially due to group discussions during sessions, which helped me think in new ways. I also met students who are passionate about mathematics, which motivated me greatly. Overall, the program gave me new exposure and increased my curiosity and understanding of mathematics.

It was a great experience meeting participants who shared a passion for the subject. The teaching approach was quite different from regular classroom learning, since we were encouraged to think independently rather than rely only on theory. Many of the topics were new to me, and I really liked the way they were introduced. The environment encouraged active participation both in class and within groups. Also being around participants who were more experienced and deeply interested in the subject was especially motivating for me.
